OUR COMMUNITY · THE PLUS ONE CLUB
Community Guidelines
Good company starts with looking out for one another.
The Plus One Club helps adults connect through shared interests. These guidelines set the standard for member-created meetups and conversations.
Pre-launch draft — this page is being prepared for review. Contact details and final operating procedures will be added before public launch.
Be kind and respectful
Treat people with courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, threats, unwanted advances, hate speech or abusive messages do not belong here. Accept a ‘no’ without pressuring someone.
Be genuine
Use accurate account information and a profile that represents you. The club is designed for adults aged 35 and over. Do not impersonate others, create misleading activities or promote scams.
Organise meetups responsibly
Members who create meetups choose the activity, venue, time and group size, and deal directly with participants. Describe the plan honestly, communicate changes promptly, respect venue rules and clearly identify any expected costs.
Meet safely
For first meetups, choose public, well-populated places and arrange your own travel. Tell someone you trust where you are going. Trust your judgement; leave if anything feels wrong. Never feel obliged to share personal contact information, home addresses or payments with strangers.
Protect other members' privacy
Do not publish another person's messages, photographs, contact details or exact meeting location without their permission. Use the club's member features for organising where possible.
Be clear about bookings and costs
An expression of interest is not a reservation or a guaranteed place. Members arrange their own tickets, bookings, transport and payments with venues or organisers; be careful about transferring money to other members.
Concerns and misconduct
If a member or meetup raises a concern, disengage and keep any relevant details. Use Report or block on a member card or within your Connections to raise a confidential concern, or to stop contact. Reports are reviewed privately by the club owner. For emergencies in Ireland, call 112 or 999. For emergencies in Ireland, call 112 or 999.
How the club responds
The Plus One Club may review, reject, remove or restrict listings or accounts that breach these guidelines, subject to fair processes and applicable law. Approval of a listing does not mean the club runs or supervises the meetup.
Good company. Great experiences.

Terms of Use
A simple way to discover experiences and make your own plans.
These draft terms describe how The Plus One Club is intended to operate. They are not final terms of service and must be reviewed before public launch.
Pre-launch draft — this page is being prepared for review. Contact details and final operating procedures will be added before public launch.
Who operates the service
The legal name and contact details of the operator must be added and verified before these terms become final. The Plus One Club is currently being prepared as a Cork-based, adults-only activity discovery and matching service.
Who can join
The intended membership age is 35 and over. Members must provide accurate registration details, keep account access secure and use the platform lawfully and respectfully.
What the platform does
The website displays activity and venue listings, enables members to express interest and connect, and offers tools for members to propose and manage their own meetups. Public event information can come from independent organisers; dates, prices and availability are subject to change.
Members organise their own meetups
A meetup published by a member is planned and hosted by that member, not by The Plus One Club. Hosts are responsible for accurate information, communicating with attendees, venue arrangements and any agreed limits on numbers. Attendees decide whether to take part and arrange their own travel and bookings.
Not a ticketing or transport service
Saving an event, expressing interest or requesting to join is not a ticket purchase or a confirmed reservation. An accepted meetup request does not replace any required ticket or booking. External venues and organisers set their own terms, prices and cancellation arrangements.
Member content and conduct
You remain responsible for content you submit. You give the club permission to display your public meetup details and permitted member information as needed to provide the service; private meeting details should only be shown to accepted members. Respect others' rights and follow the Community Guidelines.
Reviews, cancellations and access
New member meetups may be reviewed before publication. Members may cancel plans; the club may remove content or restrict accounts for misuse. Member reports and blocking are available. Processes for appeals, deletions and contacting support are still being completed for launch.
Safety and responsibility
Meeting new people and attending activities carries ordinary personal and venue-specific risks. Exercise your own judgement, follow professional guidance for outdoor, wellness or physical activities, and contact emergency services where necessary. No general guarantee of compatibility, attendance or safety is provided.
Your legal rights
Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights. Any final liability wording, dispute process and operator details require review under Irish law before these terms are relied upon.
Changes to these terms
Changes to material membership conditions should be communicated clearly. A final effective date and version history will be included when these terms are formally adopted.
Good company. Great experiences.

Privacy Policy
Your connections matter. So does your privacy.
This pre-launch draft explains the personal data used by the current website and what must be finalised before members are invited to join.
Pre-launch draft — this page is being prepared for review. Contact details and final operating procedures will be added before public launch.
Operator and privacy contact
The legal identity of The Plus One Club's operator and a working privacy contact address are still being finalised. They must be published here before launch so members can ask questions or exercise their rights.
Information you provide
Depending on the feature used, the service may process your sign-in email, first name, date of birth or age eligibility, location or area, interests, optional profile photo, member visibility preference, activity interests, meetup descriptions, join requests, messages and any private meeting instructions you submit.
Business enquiries
If you submit a business enquiry, we collect the business name, your contact name and email address, area, activity category, website link if provided, selected enquiry package and your message. These details are stored privately for the club owner to review and respond to your request. They are not published or used for a marketing mailing list. Retention periods and a privacy contact must be finalised before public launch.
How that information is used
Account and profile data support sign-in, member matching, event discovery and communication. Meetup details support submission, review and member-led planning. Confidential safety reports and block lists help protect members and handle concerns. Limited technical records may be used to keep the service functioning and investigate misuse. Proposed legal bases include providing the requested service, legitimate interests in safety and operation, and consent where an optional feature requires it; these must be mapped and confirmed before launch.
Who can see it
Public festival, event and venue listings can be seen by visitors. A member's discoverable profile is intended for signed-in members only when that member chooses to appear. Interest and connection features are member-facing. Private meetup instructions should be shared only with accepted participants; this must be retested before launch.
Service providers and external websites
The current site uses Supabase for authentication and database or photo storage; web hosting and third-party image delivery are also involved. External event, venue and ticket links lead to independent websites with their own privacy practices. A final list of providers, their locations and any international transfer safeguards must be checked before launch.
Emails and notifications
Account sign-in emails are handled through authentication services. Activity-confirmation emails are being prepared, but are not active until a sender is verified and connected. Any optional marketing communications would require separate consideration and the relevant choices.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses browser storage for preferences and certain session or demonstration state, alongside technology necessary for sign-in and site operation. Any non-essential analytics or advertising tracking will require the appropriate information and consent before it is introduced.
How long information is retained
Retention and deletion timeframes for member profiles, messages, interests, meetup history and technical records still need to be set and documented. Data should not be kept longer than necessary for its purpose, subject to legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent where it is used. The request channel is still being finalised. You also have the right to complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
Before this notice is finalised
Confirm the operator's identity, privacy contact, detailed purposes and legal bases, third-party processors, retention periods, international transfers and a usable account-deletion and data-request process. This page remains marked as a draft until those checks are complete.
Good company. Great experiences.
